I wasn’t intending to take photos this late in the day, but I had just arrived and was pleasantly surprised that there was still daylight after walking down to this area. The pictures came out better than I thought they would given the lack of light and for once there was no one there feeding the birds.
I think the reason this place is so popular with tourists is that it’s unusual to have such a large body of water that is just part of downtown rather than being sheltered away in a designated “park” area. It’s fun to watch the different sized birds in their little world.






Thank you for those pictures! I can´t wait to take my kids there this summer, specially my little guy! We are not allowed to feed the birds here so it will be a nice experience for them.
It seems such an idyllic place for children. You might end up wanting to stay, you never know!
