This Godwit was caught in winds near Hvolvöllur and kept getting blown back from where it was trying to go. Getting a picture of it from a moving car wasn’t easy!
You can also see how pretty Iceland looks at this time of year when covered in purple lupins.

I have an abstract water color of a scene in Iceland like this. As always, I am jealous of your travels.
I wish I could paint – certainly lots of inspiration there. I’m confident that you will get back there soon.
I didn’t know these flowers grew in Iceland. Hope I’ll get to see them too someday
Have not heard of a Godwit, but your photo is beautiful.
Thank you! I’m not a bird expert and I had to look up what it was. We saw these everywhere.
What a beautiful photograph.
Thanks!
Wow it looks so beautiful with the flowers
I’m can’t wait until I get to go there! Getting closer and closer for every day that passes
I loved the purple lupins everywhere. I think their blooming season must be really short.
